Zuckerberg at the peak of success

Zuckerberg has been at the peak of success for 20 years. It is hard to find a person who has not heard the name of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. But do you know how Zuckerberg created Facebook at the age of 20? Mark Zuckerberg was born on May 14, 1984 in White Plains, New York to Karen Zuckerberg, a psychiatrist, and Zuckerberg, a dentist. He had three other sisters, Randy, Donna and Ariel.
Zuckerberg became proficient in Greek and Latin at Ardsley High School. He transferred to Phillips Exeter Academy. There he excelled in science and classical education. Mark was also a non-sports star and captained the non-sports team. He was known for reciting lines from epic poems while in college.
But Mark did not stop there. He also earned a special diploma in classical literature. But always had a penchant for computers. He entered Harvard, one of the world’s best universities, in computer science. There too he became popular in a short time. But not as a good student, but as a program. If anyone needed to develop software, everyone would point to Zuckerberg. He said this is the work of Zuckerberg’s left hand.
His interest in programming was from his school days. When Mark was about 12 years old, he created a messaging program using Atari Basic. What Mark named ‘ZookNet’. Mark used this Zoonet in Dad’s office to give notice of a new patient without yelling across the room. Mark also used it to communicate with family. Later he started using Zoonet to have fun with his friends. It was also very popular among his friends.
Seeing Mark’s interest in computers, his parents hired a private computer tutor. The teacher, David Neuma, came to the house one day a week to teach Mark how to use computers. Mark also built an MP3 media player while in high school.
On October 28, 2003, Mark Elliott Zuckerberg founded a website called Facemash.com. And he also hacked the database of his college for that site. He took pictures of students from the hacked Harvard College database and used them on Facemash to arrange for visitors to vote ‘hot’ or ‘not’.
The pictures here were taken on the orientation day. You can understand how these kind of pictures are, taken in a hurry, the kind of stupid looking pictures that anyone likes to hide. But those are what Mark used to post on his site. However, Zuckerberg was forced to close this site in the face of college student fire.
Zuckerberg originally thought of Facebook from the Facemash website. Then in 2004 he founded Facebook with the help of his roommate and computer science student Eduardo Severin, Dustin Moskowitz and Chris Hughes.
He bought the Facebook.com domain on January 11, 2004. When Mark Zuckerberg launched the new site called ‘The Facebook’, 1200 students registered in it within 24 hours. At first it was limited only to Harvard College, but after 2 months it expanded to other colleges in Boston, Ivy League and Stanford University.
By June, about 1.5 million people started using Facebook on the site, and by December, the number had risen to 1 million. But at that time only boys and girls above the age of 13 could use it. At that time Facebook did not have any photo uploading, wall, news feed, event, page etc features.
Finally, in August 2005, Zuckerberg shortened ‘The Facebook’ to ‘Facebook’ because of the catchy name and bought a domain with this name. But it cost two hundred thousand US dollars. He did not have to look back after that.
He is currently the owner of Meta. Meta is the new name of Facebook. But Facebook is still being known by the old name. Meta has been made the parent company of Instagram, WhatsApp and several other platforms.
When Zuckerberg got into a lot of trouble after founding Facemash.com. At that time, his current wife Priscilla Chan met Mark Zuckerberg at a party. Priscilla was also a student at Harvard.
The place where they met was a bit odd. Mark talks to Priscilla while standing in line for the washroom. After talking for a while, Mark said to Priscilla, “Look, I’m probably going to get kicked out of Harvard in three days, so we shouldn’t be too late to go on a date.” Priscilla couldn’t do it anymore.’
However, Seber Zuckerberg was not kicked out of Harvard. Released with an order to stay under the supervision of a counselor for a few days. He also apologized to the angry clubs. Said he did it just as a coding project, he didn’t think it would become so popular. She later helped create the website for the Association of Harvard Black Women.
